Dear Panther Families,

We would like to reach out to all of our members and hope that you are coping ok with Stage 4 Restrictions. We know that remote learning is proving difficult for some of the kids and parents. Together we can all help our wonderful city of Melbourne get through these lockdowns.
Please remember to adhere to the restrictions, wear a mask and we encourage you to get your 1 hour of exercise per day.

The committee met on Tuesday 11th August via Zoom and would like to provide the following updates:

Merchandise:
Our General Manager Bree will commence deliveries to families who have pending orders now that we have received our shipment of stock.
There are a couple of items which are locked in the club rooms such as boot bags and football bags. We will be emailing the families who have ordered these items to make other arrangements.
The deliveries will be contactless to your front door.

For families who have purchased socks and shorts only and have still not received the items we will be refunding these sales. This process will take a couple of days for us to work through and you will receive an email when processed.

Refunds:
Thank you again for all the feedback received.
We have started the process with SportsTG for the refunds and as previously advised this can take some time especially with the amount of clubs and sports they are working with.
For the families who paid with Polipay direct debit we are working through contacting you as we have to manually process your refund. Please check your emails and reply as soon as possible so we can start this process.

For the families who were financially able to donate their remaining 50% of their fees we thank you your donation to the Club.

Player Jumper 2020
If you are one of our families where your child was handed out their player jumper can we please remind you that these need to be returned.
We will be able to co-ordinate this once restrictions are lifted.
Can we please request that you take extra special care of your jumper until this time.

A message from our Comms girls, Paulina and Catherine – Communications Team

Firstly, an apology to our members. We know that this has taken longer than planned but we hope you understand that as small business owners, we needed to take care of our businesses first during this time. Timelines aside we are really happy with how our new Panthers website is progressing and can’t wait until we can share it with everyone soon.

Speaking of businesses doing it tough, we would like to offer free advertising on our Facebook page for all 2020 members. This will include one advertising post, with a photograph or logo that will be uploaded to our page by us.

Please email comms@cjfc.com.au to following information:

  • A short text about your business or current offer, making it clear on how our community can support your business.
  • A link to your business page, website or current offer
  • A photograph or logo to use on the post.

These will be uploaded over the next 6 weeks so please email by August 31st so we can schedule these posts.

Panthers, when you see these posts, please share and spread the word in support of our Panther family.

Lights on Oval 2
Our Vice President has been past the club recently and noticed that works are coming along for the lights on Oval 2.
Here are some photos:

This project is a great benefit to the future of the Club and will allow training of all teams to spread out across both ovals and allow more teams the opportunity for 2 nights training in the future.
The Kingston Council is expecting all testing to be finished by the end of August and then the lights will be ready for use.

We are continuing to work with the SMJFL in meetings for alternative football training and games if the restrictions get lifted as planned. These meetings are fortnightly with the SMJFL and we will keep our community up to date with any news.

Coming up in the next month or so, we are also expecting some preliminary draft plans of the female change room upgrade.

Please take care for now from your committee working for your club.
